What the explorer computes.
The mandate explorer accepts three categorical answers: ownership certainty, exclusivity preference, and intended transaction structure. Each has three options, giving 27 possible combinations. There are no numerical inputs, slider estimates, prices, probability scores, or external data feeds.
The output consists of a discussion-route heading, an explanation, a plain-text summary of your answers, and a list of documents to prepare. It is generated locally using the following rules, in order.
Ownership is the first decision.
- Ownership cannot be established: pause any outreach and identify the rights holder and authority to act. Prepare a list of missing documents for counsel. The chosen structure does not override this result.
- Some rights need checking: begin a rights and provenance review; separate supported, restricted, and unresolved material. Resolve questions before a buyer discussion. Again, the structure does not override this result.
- Supporting documents are held: proceed to a discussion route based on the selected structure. This answer means only that the user says documents exist. The explorer does not examine them or confirm that they establish rights.
Structure and exclusivity refine the conversation.
- Asset sale: discuss the transfer perimeter, reserved uses, authority, and continuing obligations.
- License with other options kept open: discuss a non-exclusive license, including scope and reserved use.
- License with limited exclusivity: discuss content, field, territory, and duration of the exclusivity.
- License with exclusivity undecided: define permitted uses before choosing exclusivity.
- Compare both structures: set out ownership, reserved uses, term, and ongoing duties side by side.
If you choose a sale while wishing to keep other licensing options open, the output flags that tension and suggests discussing reserved rights or a license alternative. No preference is treated as permission to offer particular rights.
How the document list is assembled.
Every route includes a source inventory, ownership and authority documents, and existing licenses and restrictions. Uncertain or absent ownership adds a rights register or missing-document list. The structure adds a transfer perimeter, a permitted-use outline, or a comparison of both. The exclusivity choice adds a boundary proposal, reserved-use list, or open-questions list.
These are preparation prompts, not a completeness certificate. The tool does not inspect personal data, verify consent, resolve third-party rights, check jurisdiction-specific rules, or assess technical quality. Counsel and the authorized owner remain responsible for transaction decisions.
Privacy and reproducibility.
The same three answers always produce the same result. Answers are held only in the current page, with no network request, storage, account, or automatic transfer into the inquiry form. Reloading the page clears the result. No preset answers are supplied. Changing an answer hides the old result until you run the guide again.
The site’s separate first-landing attribution script stores campaign parameters and referrer information for inquiries as described in the privacy notice. It does not capture explorer answers.
Scope and corrections.
The rules were authored for this site’s preparation workflow; they are not a trained prediction model or a validated professional assessment. No claim of legal or empirical validation is made. If a route appears misleading, send its three selected answers and your concern to hello@dataexitpartners.com, without source data or confidential documents.
