What these notes are for.
Our notes help owners prepare questions, organize evidence, and understand commercial choices in a data transaction. They are general preparation material. They do not determine rights, replace counsel, establish a valuation, or predict demand.
Sources and research.
The current notes were supplied as existing Data Exit Partners editorial material. Their publication and update dates are retained from those source files. The source material did not include a research bibliography or a record of independent legal review; we do not imply either exists.
For new or revised guidance, research should start with the documents relevant to the claim: applicable legislation and regulator guidance for legal context, original agreements for rights, and documented methods for technical statements. Sources should be linked next to the claims they support. Jurisdiction-specific conclusions belong with qualified counsel, using current sources and the actual facts.
AI drafting and human review.
AI assistance was used to restructure this website and draft its new explanatory copy and interactive guide. AI-generated text can omit context or make errors. This build does not establish that a qualified human editor or lawyer has reviewed every statement. The inherited articles are not described as newly fact-checked.
Our review policy is that substantive additions and corrections should be checked by a responsible human editor against the cited source before publication; legal claims require appropriate legal review. Publication dates alone are not evidence of that review. No fabricated reviewer, expert endorsement, deal, client, or case study is used to imply it.
Examples and uncertainty.
Illustrative examples should be explicitly marked “Illustrative.” Counts, prices, and outcomes should be published as facts only when substantiated. Sample observations must be distinguished from measurements of an entire archive. Our mandate explorer uses stated rules and no market-price or buyer-demand data.
Corrections.
Send the page address, the wording in question, and any supporting source to hello@dataexitpartners.com. Please do not include confidential records. We assess the issue and, where a substantive correction is made, update the page date and describe the change. A correction request is not itself evidence that a claim is wrong.
See the explorer methodology for the full decision rules and limitations.
